We have been operating in the Czech Republic since year 2002, and we offer currency exchange services in traditional quality, under the most advantageous conditions in the Ústí nad Labem and Teplice regions!

We do not charge you any extra fees for the exchange, we'll be happy to offer you better rates when exchanging bigger amounts! The VIP rate automatically applies to exchanges over CZK 50,000.

Exchange rates

We buy and sell with 0% commission, so without any addtional fees. Attention: From September 1st, 2008, we are required to ask for a proof of identity when exchanging amounts from € 1,000 or the equivalent in another currency. This measure is due to the new Act 253/2008 §7 Coll., which entered into force on September 1st, 2008.
 
Dear customers, be advised that the countries listed on the RISK COUNTRIES LIST are subject to increased control according to §9a of Act. No. 253/2008 Coll., on certain measures against the legalization of proceeds from criminal activity and the financing of terrorism. When exchanging the currencies of the mentioned countries, and in some cases when exchanging any currencies by citizens of these countries, proof of the origin of the funds and other confirmation may be required according to the current regulations of the Czech Republic and the recommendations of the Financial Action Committee (FATF).
 
The client can withdraw from the foreign exchange trade contract within 3 hours of its finalisation, in the branch where the trade was transacted. The withdrawal must apply to the entire extent of the contract. If the amount presented by the client exceeds 1000 EUR, the withdrawal applies to the extent to which the sum corresponds to the sum of 1000 EUR paid by the client. The withdrawal period applies only during working hours stated on the final receipt. Full information about client’s rights will always be provided on the final receipt or on request. Client is entitled to submit a proposal to solve the dispute amicably to the Financial Arbiter of Czech Republic (Legerova 69, 110 00 Praha 1, www.finarbitr.cz) or submit a complaint to Czech National Bank (Na Příkopě 864/28, 110 00 Praha 1, www.cnb.cz).

VIP rates

  • We have two types of exchange rates. Getting a better, so-called VIP rate, is very easy and everyone can reach it.
  • The VIP rate is automatically valid for exchange over CZK 50,000 or the equivalent of another currency.
  • Print out the VIP coupon and you will get the VIP rate already from CZK 1,000.
    Open the VIP coupon via the button or QR code below.
  • If you exchange with us over CZK 50,000, you will receive the client's VIP card and you will get the VIP rate both for current and any further transactions, regardless of their amount. Also you will be served in the premises for the VIP clients.

Terms and Conditions

  • BAS Směnárna spol. s r.o. is open to all clients every day throughout the year, according to opening hours. Limited operation is only during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
  • Our clients are served by a team of experienced staff trained by the Czech National Bank at two cash desks and two discrete boxes in separate areas for regular and VIP clients.
  • All our spaces are monitored by a camera system. If you feel that the exchange did not go as it should, you can contact our staff and they will check the progress of the transaction even a few days back.
     
  • Don't forget to bring your ID. For exchanges in values from € 1,000, proof of identity is mandatory and without it you will not be served.
  • However, you can identify yourself with a personal document even for smaller amounts. Your data will be saved together with the transaction and it will be possible to contact you, eg. in case of a complaint.
  • Clients who present VIP card, are automatically identified for each transaction. Any questions or additional printing of lost counts is then a matter of a few minutes.
  • Identification with a VIP card does not replace identification with an ID, which is mandatory for exchanges from € 1,000.
     
  • We do not accept or pay foreign currency coins. We buy and sell foreign currencies in cash only in volumes that can be deposited from banknotes of denominations of the respective currencies. Amounts in Czech crowns are always rounded to whole crowns, downwards when buying and upwards when selling foreign currency.
  • We would like to warn clients that the exchange of foreign currencies CANNOT BE PAID BY PAYMENT CARDS.
